Chili's

Anyone ever been there? I have only gone there twice so far in the past 2 years-lol Alicia and I went there today and the food was once again really good. I like their menu because they have a lot of things-and it comes in a coil bound book with color pictures. Very neat...they everything from Fajitas to pasta to burgers to salad to sandwhiches to healthy stuff. We decided to go there because I wanted to use my free coupon for an appetizer of our choice. I LOVE using coupons and finally did-we got the TRIPLE PLAY appetizer which is so good it is unreal...you get buffalo style chicken strips, then plainly battered chicken strips and finally, Spring rolls done in a mexican style-all with 3 kinds of sauces. Mind you, the dish on its own is expensive..$15.00-but we got that for free with my coupon!

I had decided to actually try a veggie burger for the first time at this place..it was very big but I was put off by the pitch black color of the burger-hmmm..so I tried a piece and it was purely burnt. I called the waitress to have it replaced and they did but it took time..so of course I was full by the time they showed up and had to take it home. The bite that I did have was VERY good-and it came with steamed broccoli and lotsa julienned carrots-wasn't sure about that and was DEFINITELY not sure about the grated parmesan cheese on top.

Overall I would have it again I think...oh wait, I will cause I have leftover for tomorrow! lol It was a decent price too-I would definitely recommend the triple play if you are with a friend or just order a dish of the spring rolls..they had lettuce wraps too but I didn't try them=next time of course! Smiley

Oh and careful who you find in the bathroom..apparently there was a stoned and very drunk lady blowing and blowing her nose in there ( I could tell she snorts), she gave me her life story in 3 minutes...43 years old, ELEVEN KIDS...2 died at birth but her oldest is 24 or something..insane..then I complimented her by saying she looked good for having all those kids (I had to be nice, she was wierd) and she gave me a big hug...uhh...in the BATHROOM??

I ran far and wide, Oh Canada...what an odd ball!!

The only time I went to Chili's was when I was on vacation in the Massachussets. I had their fish and chips and the batter is so rich. I also found the menu to be very attractive, coil books work best, easier to flip through.

The restaurant has a very nice decor too, nice style. Well to get a nice plate of appetizers worth 15,00$ with a free coupon is a good deal Lisa, it looks like there was lots on it. Coupons rock!

About the bathroom thing, you were nice to that lady Lisa, but I know people who give thier life stories like that can be weird...and no I wouldn't like to be "hugged" in the bathroom lol.

Well I definitely enjoyed all of my veggie burger when I did get the chance to eat it-so I would go back to have that one again for sure!! Some items on their menu are rather pricey though-I mean, $15.99 for a chicken dish? That is just WAY too much and I still cannot justify spending over $10.00 for a plain salad!!

I agree, Chili's is expensive.  They have this nice lemonade (non-alcoholic, for all you minors out there  Wink) with strawberries in the bottom which I really liked.  I had a burger there and it was good, and the fries were good too (and coming from me, that's a pretty big compliment, because I'm picky with fries big time).  The dessert was sort of ordinary, but that could be because I skimped on the ice cream just because I'm not a big ice cream with dessert fan.  The dessert I had was this hot chocolate chip 'bar'... I can't really explain it, I wish I could remember what it was called.  It was good anyways, and I loved how it was hot and fresh... yumm.. overall, I'd give it a good review, but I agree, the prices were crazy.

But, oh, what a beautiful thing when you sing
Hear all them bells ringing out in the street
Hammer strikes the metal and it makes me believe
'Cause if I don't believe in love
Then I don't believe in you
And I do
