Did anyone catch the run in Calgary? If so, how are your thoughts on it?
I have to say that after watching it on tv (the movie) I just didn't like it...of course, anything that is done LIVE is 100 times better than on tv..but for all the publicity it was getting because of Richard Gere (meh), Renee Zellewegger (blah) and Catherine Zeta Jones (she was good!), it really didn't live up to anything! I am just sad that we got the movie on video and it is brand new, and we hated it!

I never did see the movie but I almost flew to San Fransisco to see it live because a certain someone had a starring role in it.

i saw it in Calgary and thought it was pretty darn good...the lady who played Mama was absolutely amazing. and i met Tom Wopat in the lobby during intermission (awkward time for him to be in the lobby i suppose...haha).
i also really liked the movie. i thought it was quite well done and i liked Richard Gere in that role. one of my favorite moments of the movie is when he does his tap dance in the courtroom.

Anyway, my thoughts on Chicago are: Catherine Zeta-Jones will NEVER have such an amazing, stellar, screen-stealing performance in her life! She was the most perfect Velma ever and she pretty much made the movie (I love it, haha it's one of my faves!!!). My favorite moment in the movie is the cell-block tango. The production just finished in E-town and I never saw it (but I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY WANTED TO!!!!) but I had a few friends who did and they said it was incredibly good! Why oh why didn't I go!?

Add me to the list of people asking WHO???
I couldn't think of anyone I would fly all the way to San Francisco to see in a show. Well, maybe a private concert from JD and INXS. LOL. But that's another topic....
