Fashion Max
« on: December 01, 2005, 09:40:38 AM »

I am soooo excited, I just purchased a new winter coat for myself today! Cheesy

I got it at a store called, Fashion Max.
And ONLY $20.00 (only a $1.00 more than a INXS and Melissa CD...hee hee!!) It was regularly priced at $40.00 but was on sale for $20.00)
It was'nt something I was looking to buy, just something I saw and wanted. I just hope at that price, it does'nt fall apart on me or the zipper does'nt break.  Roll Eyes

It's a black, puffy, mid lengthed coat (covers my butt) . It has a hood and is 80% polyester and 20% down filled. It's really warm and I'm loving it so far! I don't buy many things for myself and with Christmas, I really should'nt have spent the money. I was feeling guilty and my father who was with me at the time said, "hey, it does'nt hurt to treat yourself to something, sometimes!! Whew, that made me feel better!! Cool

That was really nice of your father to tell you that!! Especially when some men are the first ones to say, "Do you REALLY need another one??" haha Grin

Gosh, you guys get all these cool stores down in your area!! What else do they sell there? I think getting ANYTHING that you can wear for 20 bucks is a TOTAL steal (in a good way! lol), so right on for the good deal! I am a big bargainer for clothing....but every now and then it is nice to get a bit crazy and spend a little too much one on item-then cry about it for the next month when you are paying it off! haha Thankfully I don't do that often!! I just love it when you get big sales on things that are already cheap!!!

Today I was watching the Home Shopping Network (even though they don't deliver their things to Canada-sniff), and Patti LaBelle-the singer was on there...she has her own line of clothing as well..and she had some NICE things on there...very funky, very sparkly-just great things. I watched the 2 hours and just enjoyed looking at the fashion. Too bad I couldn't order any of it!

$20 for a winter coat is not spoiling yourself.  At that price, the only way you can justify NOT buying it is if your family is starving and you're down to your last $20.

I've been thinking I need new winter boots.  My old ones are looking pretty scruffy and they don't keep my toes very warm anymore.  Unfortunately, I have "problem feet" so it's very hard for me to find boots.  (I should probably start looking since it may take awhile.)

That is what I was thinking, but couldn't find the right eloquent sentences to say it in...haha I am glad that someone who doesn't love shopping has written it instead...(unless our last shopping trip to Chinook Centre back in the summer converted you!! Wink )

Well...we're certainly not rich but we're not down to our last dollar, either.  I've just always been frugal and hate spending money on myself..I've always gone the route of "the kids come first". I can always "charge it". Right?  Grin     Ohh..but I just hate being in debt.

Anyways, I've never boughten anything from Fashion Max before. I stay away from going into the store. There may be something I might see! LOL But, these coats were just sitting outside the store entrance in the mall. They caught my eye..and I HAD to have one. Roll Eyes

Ain't nothing wrong with being frugal, Lynn...I guess if I had kids I would want to buy things for them instead-but for now, I can spoil myself and enjoy my clothing...it is a nice luxury that I am willing to enjoy! lol

Too bad that link you put doesn't have actual pictures of the store and what is in it... Sad

I pretty much love clothes-I can't help it...people always say, "We never see you in the same outfit twice"...that really isn't true because I DO repeats-I am just cautious of when those repeats happen...lol but I do have enough clothes to last forever. And the clothes that don't fit or I don't like anymore? I just sell them off at a Consignment store..it is easy as that-I don't get AS much money, but with all the clothes that I sold over the summer (my reaaaaaaaaaally old ones), I made close to $1000.00!!
