The other day, Michelle, Russ, my mom and myself went to watch this show at the Stage West Dinner theatre. The food was pretty good this time around-not totally the best..even though Michelle ate a frog...err..frog legs...YIKES! I used to have pet frogs so luckily I wasn't there to witness this travesty! haha. The desserts were good as always though I wasn't loving the coconut/passionfruit cheesecake-coconut should be left in the shell...I did like the stuffed squid with lobster..oh yeah, wait this is about the play. The play itself is rather good-only 4 male harmony vocalists are in charge of the show-and 3 instrumentalists...one bass player, one piano player and a swing band player. The show was based on doo wop songs of the 60s-some I had heard of before, others I hadn't..the 4 characters were playing the PLAIDS, a band of the 60s that got killed before becoming BIG and having that last concert. The show was a throwback in time and they came back to earth to perform that last concert for all of us. It was a very clever show with excellent harmonies by the 4 guys...some acts were SO darn funny that people were howling and hooting!! It was really great...no intermission as the show went by so fast!! At the end everyone gave a standing ovation-except, perhaps those poor frogs who lost their legs to the buffet!

Well, what can I add to that? Except to say if you like musicals, definitely get yourself to Forever Plaid before it's over. It was a great evening. Lots of good music and there was a fun little storyline that went along with it. As for the frog's legs, well, they tasted like chicken. ~Michelle
