Motley Crue - I watched a profile of the band on MuchMoreMusic a couple of weeks ago. I really had no idea about the band's history before that. The lead singer guy is the same person who was on the Simple Life. Anyways, someone on one of the INXS boards actually had met him and said that he was a bit of an asshole. I guess they were at a recording studio and she asked him to the hold the door for her because she was carrying stuff that she was taking to another band, and he told her to f*ck off and slammed the door in her face. Gee, and I wonder why that band broke up. Jerk. My sister relayed that Bono story to me. Apparently the video/song The Sweetest Thing was an apology to her? Anyways, google tells me that there's something to this, and if I cared more I'd get more details, but I don't, so oh well. Ha! Lisa you are a music FANATIC. How did you miss the Grammys? Okay, you didn't really miss that much. Most of the performances were crap, with the exception of Bono (but then Mary J Blige came out and ruined 'One'. Blah!), Kelly, and John Legend. Mariah tried to sing, but maaaan she was not hitting some of those notes. Is Celine like the only diva left who can still hit her notes? Kelly videos from the Grammys: Because of You performance: http://www.youtube.com/?v=Qv6ZCFnuo6IKelly winning Best Pop Vocal : http://www.youtube.com/?v=OFc4GgYYwLM (all weepy. aww)

The videos buffer for me too, Lisa. Just wait for the video to load and finish, then press play. The video should be in your temporary internet files then, so it should play without the buffering. Should. lol

Time to revive this thread! On the Australian release of 'Switch', there was additional RS documentary footage, including JD, Mig and Marty in the recording studio w/ Guy Chambers working on 'Hot Girls'. Its interesting. I actually didn't mind Marty's take on it. I like hearing the different takes on the same song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QbmpOehM7Z0

Wow, thanks for posting those great pictures and article Dae! I didn't know all of that about JD's life so maybe in the end he REALLY deserved to win that prize. Inevitably it was going to be a HUGE job for anyone to take that lead role position so it couldn't have been eays on JD to go for the gold. I didn't know his momma was only 17 when she had him either! Yikes-I bet if you put them beside eachother they look like brother and sister or something! lol Either way it is good to hear that Jd is doing well with INXS and not suffering the same fate as Lukas is with Supernova!

INXS is going to be changing their name??? I don't like this idea!! NEXT year's INXS tour will be their last. But fear not, the band - with new singer JD Fortune - will continue as The Farriss Brothers. The surviving original members of will celebrate their 30-year anniversary as a group on August 16, 2007. And afterwards they will return to the name they and former lead singer Michael Hutchence first used. JD said: "The idea is to put this rock monster called INXS to bed then step out of the bed and keep going. "I will have been with the band for three years and the plan would be to have a big gig in Australia and invite all these great bands like The Killers, Franz Ferdinand, Wolfmother, AC/DC to play, then afterwards go back to the original Farriss Brothers. "We'll still be together, still do the hits and new stuff, but we'd be able to break through boundaries." http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/tm_headline=the-razz--as-farriss-inxs-goes-&method=full&objectid=18043173&siteid=66633-name_page.htmlWhy would they ditch the INXS name? The Farriss Brothers sounds like the name of a folk band from the sixties or something! I am baffled by this decision. Nobody is going to know who The Farriss Brothers are when they release any cds or go on tour! INXS had a brand identity!

Yeah, it seems like a strange decision to me. I know there are some old time fans who refuse to accept INXS without Michael Hutchence. But those are also the same people who are likely to remember that INXS used to be The Fariss Brothers. I certainly didn't until I started watching Rockstar last year. Maybe it had something to do with their US label dropping them? I really don't get what's behind the decision though. Doesn't make sense to me. ~Michelle

Seems crazy to me. They should keep the INXS name, no doubts about it.

The Farriss Brothers? lol What kind of silly name is that? Is JD going to legally change his last name to Farriss now?? Jd and the Farriss brothers. I dunno-I can appreciate INXS wanting to move onwards now that they have a new band, but totally ditching their name like that is really odd. Why would their US label drop them though? I thought they were doing a great job with the new cd??

I think they should stay with the INXS name too. I think that they are maybe changing the name so people won't compare the new INXS with the old INXS.
