Tories move to crack down on download demons
« on: June 12, 2008, 10:17:30 PM »

Undecided Well it seems the tories are about to pass a law making it illegal to download  any copywritten items such as songs movies etc. The way it sounds you couldn't even make back-up copies of your own cds that you have bought and I think that sucks. I realize that the artist deserves to get his cut of whatever record/song that is downloaded, but I wonder just how much the artist would get out of fines levied against the person or persons caught downloading the material.
I don't see anything wrong with copying someones album to say your computer or to an mp3 player if you have already bout that item and that it is for your own use.
they have a write up on my telus page. here's the addy.
