New Kids On the Block Coming to Town

Too funny....I am now at the age THEY were back in the day when the whole world loved them. I guess the rumors are true-the boys are coming back to Calgary's Saddledome on Nov 15th...I would be very tempted to see what they are all about, probably really good-most look older now of course but not THAT old. I guess I will wait closer to the day to see what the weather is like. I remember going to watch them many moons ago-TWICE in a row in the same time frame...I even touched Donnie's foot! lol

I never got to see the new kids when I was younger so I'm making up for lost time! are you sure they are coming to Calgary? because I only heard they would be playing in Edmonton.

Yeah, it was in the paper today that they announced the Calgary show.  I doubt that I will go.  I really have no interest in them anymore and I'm sure the tickets cost quite a bit.

I did see them the first time around.  It was my first concert, but I hate admitting that to anyone.  My music taste is so much better now!

I remember their concerts were awesome back then...I even have pictures that I took when we were on the floor rows!! Those were the daaaaaaaaaaaays....I don't think I would go to the show-maybe see it for interest sake but not make it a priority-I don't need to be reminded how old I GOT over the past years! haha

Yeah, I really don't know what they would sing.  Their old stuff?  Well, sure, I was into it back in the day but I wouldn't listen to that now.  It's not like their music is played on any "oldies" stations or anything.  And they haven't been recording new stuff, have they?

To me this whole thing seems kind of weird.  They should be signing autographs at the women's show or something (like the soap stars) not having concerts.

They have a new song on the radio - Summertime.  It's pretty good. I know they've been working on a new cd. I don't think it's been released yet.    I've never been a big fan but I do like their music. According to their myspace 4 of them have kids. Must be hard traveling but it's great they have another go around.

They sometimes play the old stuff on the radio (101.5 fm) and it brings back such great memories...the tunes are still catchy though so I think they could pull off a good concert...but it would be funny to see how much older their fan base has become because I doubt many teens will be at the show since they will have no clue who NKOTB are!

How much was the ticket, Alicia?

The ticket was $79.50 plus the ticketmaster service charge but it was that much for a closer seat which is what I wanted to begin with.

Lisa - Section 101 is closer to the stage than the section we were in to see Evanescence last year

The price is actually REALLY good considering you were that close...but I don't think you will be able to touch Jordan's foot this time-lol I always thought he was gay but was pretty surprised when I found out he is married with kids!!!! Be prepared to stand up a lot during the concert because I am sure the old fan girlies will be throwing their depends and gel padded bras at the boys!! Or will that be...you??? hahah
