Back in the summer there was the worldly televised concert for Princess Diana that was a memorial put on by her sons-it was an all day event so of course I missed a lot-but Costco sells the commemorative 2 disk DVD of the show without all that extra filler and it is quite great...there are songs by Elton, Rod Stewart, some British bands and musicals..all the stuff that Diana liked with the help of some by her sons including P. Diddy (which was a REAL embarrassment..the guy just chants, doesn't even sings and repeats the same thing over!!), Nelly Furtado and so on....a really good collection of songs done live by the performers actually!
That's cool -- I didn't get a chance to see the show on TV so I'd be interested to see it. I wish they'd come out with a best of Live Earth (unless they have already..?) Despite it being a little over-blown, the show itself was great! A lot of awesome performers put on a really really good show.

But, oh, what a beautiful thing when you sing Hear all them bells ringing out in the street Hammer strikes the metal and it makes me believe 'Cause if I don't believe in love Then I don't believe in you And I do ~Ryan Adams
I don't think they did the Live Earth thing only because the Diana concert was more of a marketing thing to get money for her charity-but it would definitely be a cool idea you are right!
