You don't like the melting snow, Sandy? Why not? One of the best sounds is the drippity droppity of water as the snow melts away...although it IS ugly and brown when the snow melts, it sure makes room for the nice green grass!! I saw some rabbits yesterday that had brown patches, so it means they are ready for Spring too!!! HOOOOOOOOOOORAY!

It's fine as long as it's on the outside of my house. LOL

Lol I hear ya there...when it rains heavy, we get a lot of it inside the house too so I can totally understand!! I am thrilled with how February has been going-SO warm for this time of year and the rest of the week looks great in the pluses.....no wonder many people are saying they have Spring Fever!

We got tons of snow before Christmas and just this past week all we have gotten is rain. The snow has now all disappeared and our basement was pretty much flooded. I'm just glad that the rain has stopped and it's turned colder so the basement will have time to dry up. With the return of the colder weather, we had high winds that knocked out power in a lot of areas but we were extremely lucky that ours remained on.

I am surprised you had rain in DECEMBER, Lynn...how crazy is this global warming?? We have had so much snow since December 7th...how awful-I am tired of it-thankfully now when it snows, it is very light and fluffy so it is easy to get off the cars but it sure accumulates! We had one good day where it was warm and the snow was melting, then the next day we got another foot of it!! Thankfully at this point the road crews are now OUT on the roads and cleaning before there is too much snow so the driving conditions are better!

So far we've had 60 cm of snow fallen here, and we've had freezing rain so for now we're dealing with cold. The sun is out, but the temperatures are in -7 / -10 range, not as bad as -20, so we're still alright for now lol...

You know, I would be happy with something moderate for a change. November was ridiculously warm and no show and then December was insanely cold with record amounts of snow. I will give up the super nice November, if it means the whole winter can be somewhat in the middle instead.
Unless we are going to alternate and January will be super warm. Although it's not off to a good start so far! In Saskatoon this morning, it was -41 WITHOUT the wind chill! I'm glad I at least came back to Calgary.
