An update on Dresden's pizza situation. Well Pizza Centre closed, Toppings closed, and Faye's closed. No surprise about Pizza Centre and Toppings but Faye's as the bakery as well, that surprised me. ANd Godfather's really downsized their pizza's I ordered a large last week, and it looked like a medium.  Angry Needless to say I'm not having pizza unless I make it- it'll be cheaper that way.  Undecided

Yikes-it seems like everything is closing down...do you know why Trenna?? Just lack of customers or they are being shut down?? I have noticed a few Pizza Hut's have closed down over too which is sad cause they were around ever since I could remember...I would just think with our city it means that the rent is way too high and when the lease is up, the owners can't afford it and have to shut down.

I made a discovery during the few weeks of the bad news I had with tons of family coming over...one lady brought two boxes of pizza from a place called AWESOME PIZZA...the size of the box was at least 2-3 feet tall by wide...and it had something like SIXTY square cut slices..absolutely unreal-the pizza was really good but I can only imagine how much that must have cost her!!

Smiley I usually make my own pizzas. The only place for pizza around here is in Vermilion and thats Pizza hut and I find their pizzas are way too greasey. I could buy McCains or whatever frozen pizza but they are gross, so I just make my own. My sister in law gave me a recipe that called Lazy Pizza which has no crust it'st pretty good. i may have to post it in the recipe section of Let's Tawk and you all can try it if you want to. I prefer my puizza with crusts but this isn't too bad.

Ironically enough I have never found Pizza Hut's crust to be greasy over here...and I worked there for almost 2 years so I should know! lol

I remember places like Pizza 73 always had greasy crusts which was nasty, but you are right Sandy-better to make your own-it is MUCH cheaper. I am always shocked at places that charge $20 PER pizza...

Smiley The last time I bought a pizza hut pizza the crust wasn't greasy it was the rest of the pizza, it had grease just laying on top of the pizza, I guess from the meat and cheese, but it was gross.

I was never a fan of Pizza Hut namely for that reason of the pizza being greasy but the crust was good though.

You should all check out the Chicken Club Pizza from Panago. It's amazing. Chicken and Bacon and Tomato with a nice alfredo-like sauce, so not too tomato-y! I really enjoy it, especially with the jalapeno ranch dipping sauce. Yummy!

And if you enjoy just cheese pizza, Dino's in Red Deer has the best. It is SO GOOD. The pizzas are small - but it's 2-for-1 so that's nice!

We got Pizza Hut for the first time in a LONG time over the weekend but it wasn't good at all!!! We asked for light sauce cause they usuall glob it on and this time they barely put anything...the pizza crust itself was pretty light which means it didn't get so well cooked...I dunno...something was not working for me at all-we were disappointed. Quite a few Pizza Hut's have closed in the city, I wonder if that bad quality has to do with it now?
