The show opens with Brooke introducing the rockers
and then Gilby, Jason, Tommy and Dave.
They showed Ryan singing his original song
and said he won the honda, because he was picked
as the encore fan.
Gilby states that Supernova is not a heavy metal band,
though it's roots are.
The bottom two will perform and then the guys will pick a winner.
Rockers in bottom two some time during the night.
Magni, Toby and Lukas.
The first of the bottom two is: Magni.
He sings "Fire" (Jimmi Hendrix)
The second rocker in the bottom two is: Toby.
Toby sings "White Wedding" (Billy Idol).
Gilby says this is the hard one for us, Magni,it's been a great ride,
but your the next to go.
Magni thanks everyone and says it was the best summer of his life,
and says See ya later.
Brooke then gets Likas to step forward.
They show a package of some of his thoughts.
Dave says you've shown so much diversity this summer,
Good luck to you.
Lukas says it would be an honor to lead them.
Dilana's package of thoughts is next.
Dave says you've shown your a fighter and an incredible singer.
Dilana says she wants to Rock the World with you guys.
Lukas is Amazing, Toby is Incredible but I am The One.
Toby package has him saying this was the best summer of his life.
Dave says your one hell of a performer.
Toby thanks theguys and says he is now ready to rock with them.
and that he is tall.
Tommy says these three are amazing, but we'll have to hear you
sing one more time.
Lukas sings "Bittersweet Symphany" (the Verve)
Dilana sings "Zombie" (Cranberries)
Toby sings "Somebody Told Me" (The Killers)
Coming back from a break, Brooke announces
that Tommy's drums are on stage.
Jason says to the three: you're a Hero in Canada
You're a Hero in Austraila and you're a Hero in the States.
Toby your voice cut thru no matter how loud it got. You
always kicked it up a knotch, but you're the next to go home.
(many Booos from the audience).
Brooke introduces the top two: Dilana & Lukas.
Dave says look the "Edgy Ones" are left.
Dave says it looks like you're about to preform a Goth wedding.
You two had the highest votes.
Gilby says this is a tough one and we've took all summer long
to make this decision.
Tommy says Luksa, you have the look, the energy, and are amazing.
Dilana you're enchanting and you're voice is unbelievable.
Tommy says Who's it gonna be??
We have to listen to our fans and the one with the highest amount of votes
is going to win.
Lukas, you're our boy, Welcome.
Tommy says Hell Yeah!!
Dave invites Dilana to go on tour and be part of the house band
in January and February.
Gilby says when they get back he will help write and produce an album
with Dilana. Dave stated that he wants to be on the album as well.
They then go one stage for the first time as Supernova.
They play and sing "Be Yourself".
The Rockstar is: Lukas Rossi!


******   It sounds like there is going to be another Rockstar next year.

Yay, Lukas!!  In the end it came down to the two who the band originally picked for the Top 15.  And I think they made the right choice.

When the final three each did their repeat performances (Bittersweet Symphony, Zombie, and Somebody Told Me) I thought Lukas's performance was as good or better than the first time he did it.  I thought Dilana and Toby were okay tonight, but I didn't like their songs as much as the first time around.

And having Lukas sing the Supernova songs that Toby and Magni did before was a great move because I liked both those songs much better with Lukas than with the other boys.

Poor Dilana though gets the real boobie prize - writing with Gilby Clarke who has spent all season telling her how much her songwriting sucks.

And now with back-to-back Canadian winners, I think we can safely say that Canada rocks way more than anywhere else!  LOL.

Heehee... on the other board I questioned if they would even let Canadians compete again next year to give someone else a chance.   I guess that woman who bought Lukas's plane ticket to the audition in Vancouver is happy.  Now he can pay her back.  LOL.

Global screwed up and the people down east and in ontario missed most of Rockstar. This is a part of the item, I read.

Canadian singer Lukas Rossi wins Rock Star: Supernova
(CP) - Lukas Rossi is the newest Canadian Rock Star,
but fans in his home province of Ontario may be wondering what the heck happened
during the final episode of Rock Star: Supernova on Wednesday night.
By the time Global realised its blunder and switched to the shorter domestic feed,
almost half of the meat of the finale had come and gone.
Global got it right for the rest of the country and repeated the show for Ontario at 10 p.m. ET
but many in Rossi's hometown of Toronto probably went to bed completely confused.
Ontario viewers lost one finalist altogether as Iceland's Magni Asgeirsson was eliminated
before Global figured out it what it was doing.
The Ontario audience was taken to a commercial break with a promise of more highlights to come.
When the show returned, one finalist had disappeared and Rossi was in mid-song.
Plus Ontario viewers had no idea how the final four were being culled
since the segment explaining the format never made it to air.
Lost was co-host Brooke Burke explaining that the Icelander and Australia's Toby Rand
had got the fewest votes among the final four.
Ontario also missed Magni playing Jimi Hendrix's "Fire"
and Rand tackling Billy Idol's "White Wedding."
Magni was then sent packing and the final three made their last pitch to the band.
All of which Ontario missed.
Further confusing the Ontario audience,
the misplaced Magni showed up to play acoustic guitar with Rossi
and Supernova in the final song of the night.

I was lucky I have a satelite dish so I just retaped the show later.

BAH! I am not as happy since I wanted Dilana to win it...vocally she is WAY better, but song writing wise, she is worse. I guess the band just wanted to take someone who was A. male (because as IF they would ever take on a female front runner or they would have PICKED a female front runner) and B. he can write decent songs.

I think that is the difference...I don't want to sound like a feminist here but what is the point of these Rockstar shows having female singers on them when you already KNOW some bands full of men won't want to have a female leading them? It happened last year-sure, JD was the right choice and maybe Lukas would be THIS year, but still. I loved Dilana and thought her performance tonight was AWESOME as well.

But as I said MANNNNNNNY months ago in the very first Supernova thread we started here, Lukas was going to win-he has the look that matches the band and maybe that is the hook. I am still not sold on his voice or his singing ability, but in a studio that can probably be fixed up.

So it is bittersweet because Dilana rocks it out more for me...BUT Lukas does have that CANADA ROCKS factor on him so it makes me happy that another Canadian stole the show.

Next year we should get an all female band going so we can actually start getting some FEMALE singers to win!!

Yeah you're right Sandy. It was very confusing and a strange show. I watched from 8-9 p.m.
I never saw Magni eliminated. There were only 3 rockers on the stage (no Magni). I thought that maybe I was daydreaming or something and missed his elimination. I'm glad to hear that I'm not nuts! lol!

The show was re-aired at 10:00? Hmm....missed it.

Just exactly how long was the show? 1 hour? That's what it was here. So, anyways, I guess I saw the 'mixed up' version. Oh well, at least I got to see Lukas win!!! Woo hoo!!

I mean, I got nothing against Lukas personally except that I don't like how inconsistant he is with his voice, but he IS different and totally avant garde with his style and his look. I am just pissed that it came down to a man fronting the band over a woman. Even if Toby or Magni would have won, a MAN won it because the band is full of men...then again, if Dilana would have won, she would have had to share a place with Tommy Lee and eventually his hatchett...lol.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that Tommy Lee LOVED Lukas...he has always had a thing for Canadians who wear makeup! lol Luckily Lukas doesn't have the same boobs as Pammie Anderson or ELSE that would be a total given! lol

I must say, and just to be nice, that I was impressed with how sweet Lukas was toward Dilana even though you KNOW how much they both hate eachother-but it must have been a love hate thing...and he was even sweet to hold her hand and escort her to the stage. So at least it gave him reverence over the fact that he always learned to keep his mouth shut and focus on the music.

So you SEE? Lukas isn't all THAT bad...I just thought Dilana was better! lol

I think Lukas and Dilana probably drive each other crazy but also care for each other too.  The last few times when she was hobbled with her leg injury, he was helping her on and off the area where the rockers sit.

I don't really care whether it's a man or a woman, I just want someone good.  If I was trying out, I might be ticked that a woman doesn't really have a shot, but as something for me to sit back and watch on TV, that part didn't really matter.  I actually hope they don't do a woman focused show next year.  Maybe they could find a mixed band who is looking for a lead singer, but I hope it's not all women, because I think that would be a little boring.  This year, the top 5 were great and we could enjoy both men and women, regardless of who won.

I was still hoping for Dilana because I wanted to see SOME sort of singer who was female lead a male band...that would have been more shocking than anything else. At least it is a good thing that D was an amazing competitor so it helped. I guess for now the only real rock chick we can have is Amy Lee with Evanescence...that is, till Dilana brings something out!

LOL, if Amy Lee is the best we've got, we're in trouble!  Mind you, I only really know the one Evanescence song - Bring Me To Life.  That's not very rockin' but maybe their other stuff is???

I would like to see what both Storm and Dilana come out with!  I have been listening to Storm's Ladylike song over and over again.  I am hooked!  I just need a whole CD now so I can play more than one song.  LOL.

Amy Lee is an INCREDIBLE singer, I think...have you heard her My Immortal? That is SUCH a great song-Bring me to Life is great too and lots of her other material is awesome. She is one of those singers who sounds just the same on tv as she does on a recording. She doesn't need a studio to make her sound like a singer.

And I totally hear ya about Storm-when I heard her sing on Ellen, she was SO great-she does so much better when she doesn't have to shout or be ladylike.

I am in the process of collecting video footage AND mp3 footage of Dilana's stuff...I think I have a few more things to get off that site...I took advantage of the highspeed internet I had access to and was able to get lotsa goodies. So I am looking forward to hearing several of Dilana's songs back to back to get the highlights. My mom is wondering why I never get any of Lukas....YECH! lol

Right, I saw that somewhere!  The message, I mean, not the show.  Sometimes Ellen is repeated at night here, so I wonder if it will be tonight?  I just learned that too the day AFTER I found out Storm was on.  I would have loved to see her appearance!
